“योग विज्ञान है” – ओशो

योग का इस्लाम, हिंदू, जैन या ईसाई से कोई संबंध नहीं है। लेकिन चाहे जीसस, चाहे मोहम्मद, चाहे पतंजलि, चाहे बुद्ध, चाहे महावीर, कोई भी व्यक्ति जो सत्य को उपलब्ध हुआ है, बिना योग से गुजरे हुए उपलब्ध नहीं होता। योग के अतिरिक्त जीवन के परम सत्य तक पहुंचने का कोई उपाय नहीं है।
नास्तिक भी योग के प्रयोग में उसी तरह प्रवेश पा सकता है जैसे आस्तिक। योग नास्तिक-आस्तिक की भी चिंता नहीं करता है। विज्ञान आपकी धारणाओं पर निर्भर नहीं होता; विपरीत, विज्ञान के कारण आपको अपनी धारणाएं परिवर्तित करनी पड़ती हैं। कोई विज्ञान आपसे किसी प्रकार के बिलीफ, किसी तरह की मान्यता की अपेक्षा नहीं करता है। विज्ञान सिर्फ प्रयोग की, एक्सपेरिमेंट की अपेक्षा करता है।

“Yoga is Science of the Soul” – OSHO

Yoga is a simple science. It is neither theistic nor atheistic. Patanjali really is superb, a miracle of a man. He never talks about God. And even if he mentions God once, then too he says it is just one of the methods to reach the ultimate; there is no God. To believe in God is just a technique.
Yoga is not a religion—remember that. Yoga is not Hindu, it is not Mohammedan. Yoga is a pure science just like mathematics, physics or chemistry. Physics is not Christian, physics is not Buddhist. If Christians have discovered the laws of physics, then too physics is not Christian.

“Yoga is Beyond Theism, ATheism” – OSHO

Yoga is neither. It is a simple science. It is neither theistic nor atheistic. Patanjali really is superb, a miracle of a man. He never talks about God. And even if he mentions once, then too he says it is just one of the methods to reach the ultimate the belief of God, just a method to reach the ultimate; there is no God. To believe in God is just a technique, because through believing in God prayer becomes possible, through believing in God surrender becomes possible. The significance is of surrender and prayer, not of God.

Patanjali is really unbelievable! He said God — the belief of God, the concept of God — is also one of the methods, in many methods, to reach the truth. Ishwara pranidhan — to believe in God is just a path. But it is not a necessity. You can choose something else. Buddha reaches to that ultimate reality without believing in God. He chooses a different path where God is not needed.
